Programs
providing financial support for continuing CPE/PTE education for students and for spiritual care research
Student Bursary Program
Discover pathways that nurture your calling to offer compassionate, transformative spiritual care. Whether you are beginning your journey or deepening your practice, our programs support your growth. For students experiencing financial need, the Foundation offers bursaries to help reduce financial barriers, recognizing that while they are not full scholarships, they provide meaningful support.
The Indigenous Bursary is available to Indigenous persons, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis learners. In the application, please indicate your Indigenous.
CASC/ACSS offers a progression of educational programs in CPE. Second Basic and Advanced students are eligible for bursary consideration (not first basic). Advanced students and Supervisor‑Educators are prioritized, reflecting their leadership roles in spiritual care and psychospiritual therapy and their commitment to pursuing careers in these fields. This prioritization also supports the ongoing professionalism of Spiritual Care Practitioners and Psychospiritual Therapists and helps promote public awareness of spiritual health.
Bursaries are awarded to CASC/ACSS Members enrolled in a CASC/ACSS‑accredited course in either CPE or PTE.
Please note: All bursary applicants must submit a Letter of Support from their Supervisor‑Educator with their online application.
