Communities of Practice

Communities of Practice are specialized groups of CASC/ACSS Members who come together for mutual support, education and research.

Palliative Care & Bereavement

This community focuses on creating a forum in which experiences, resources and best practices for spiritual care professionals working in palliative and bereavement care can be shared, discussed, evaluated and disseminated. Terms of Reference

Supervisor-Educators

This Community is meant to educate, support and encourage its members in the art and science of effective supervisory education.

Art & Spirituality

This Community is meant to build a supportive, knowledge sharing community of interdisciplinary practitioners/students. We hope to allow members to experience immersion and praxis in arts-based spiritual practices  and encourage  shareing and discussion of  resources.

Eating Disorders

Spiritual Professionals interested in exploring interventions and approaches for those living with eating disorders are welcome to join.

Sacred/Entheogenic Medicines & Psychedelic Therapy

The purpose of this community is to advise on, and support the CASC/ACSS Board and commissions with: 1. advocating for the spiritual (a.k.a. “entheogenic”) and cultural use of sacred and psychedelic medicines in relation to the professional scope of spiritual care, psychospiritual therapy, and spiritually-integrated psychotherapy; 2. actively guiding the emerging clinical fields of psychedelic-assisted therapies towards safer, ethical and effective practices.

Specialized groups are welcome and encouraged to come together to improve practice and knowledge in a variety of areas.
