Ethics Education Module
The Ethics Education Module (EEM) program has been developed to enhance our understanding of the CASC/ACSS Code of Ethics for certified Spiritual Care Practitioners, Psycho-Spiritual Therapists, Supervisor-Educators and Students, and to ensure integration of this code into our lives as spiritual care professionals.
If you are certified as a Spiritual Care Practitioner, Psycho-Spiritual Therapist, or as a Supervisor-Educator in either CPE or PCE, you are required to complete an Ethics Education Module as part of the Peer Review process in order to maintain your certification status. This requirement can be fulfilled at any time during the five-year period prior to your Peer Review consultation. This requirement can be fulfilled in one of three ways:
- Completion of the one-day Ethics Education Module workshop, an eight hour pre-conference workshop, at CASC/ACSS National Conference. (See below for date)
- Completion of the six-week Online Ethics Education Module, when available. Click here for more information.
- Completion of a regional one-day Ethics Education Module workshop hosted by your Regional Ethics Chair. The availability of these regional workshops will be based on registration. A minimum of three registrants is required to offer the module.
National EEM Date
The National Conference hosts a full day EEM. The 2023 conference in New Westminster BC will host an EEM on April 23, 2023. It may be offered online as well. For more info please contact Chair of the National Ethics Commission: ethics@spiritualcare.ca
