Sr. Joana is a Roman Catholic Christian, and member of the religious order: Institute of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus for 25 years. She’s been a Roman Catholic Chaplain with the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth in the Nova Scotia Health Authority for 20 years. She’s a CASC Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner (for over 10 years) and a Certified Supervisor Educator (5 years). Her work has been with the sick, the dying, their families, and the staff who deal with moral distress everyday. Her hobby is gardening.
